Wisconsin Caregiver Training Project Opportunities
As part of the Division’s commitment to Teach, Learn and Collaborate, the WI Department of Health Services (DHS), Division of Quality Assurance (DQA), and the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, Center for Community Development, Engagement and Training (UWO CCDET) are here to help you meet your training needs.
The Wisconsin Caregiver Training Project is dedicated to providing high-quality education for caregivers, managers, and supervisors across healthcare settings in Wisconsin. The training is specifically designed for providers regulated by the Wisconsin Division of Quality Assurance (DQA). Developed in collaboration with DQA, these resources help support you in meeting regulatory requirements in all regulated provider settings.
CCDET-led courses These courses are tailored for management staff in DQA-regulated settings, assisting you in meeting both state and federal requirements. Led by experienced CCDET staff and often joined by DQA subject matter experts, these workshops provide the opportunity to have your questions answered in real time. To ensure affordability, regulatory-focused workshops are partially subsidized by DQA.
- If you are a newly licensed assisted living or homecare provider, register now for Rules of the Road on April 22 to ensure regulatory compliance with provider specific administrative requirements and quick reference charts.
Ready-made curriculum Learn how to access over 40 hours of free training materials and trainer notes, which allow you to deliver training to your staff at no additional cost, at your own pace, and as time allows.
On-Demand courses These low-cost, on-demand courses offer anytime online access for direct care staff. Each 1-to-2-hour course meets continuing education requirements for all provider types. The courses are available for 6 months upon registration and may be completed in one visit or as time allows.
Our sincere thanks to those who were able to complete the 2025 Provider Needs Survey! Based on survey feedback over the last several years, CCDET has created new on-demand training courses, added training curriculum, and updated existing courses to ensure materials are relevant to a variety of homecare, healthcare, and residential care settings. We look forward to using this year's feedback to continue developing training materials to meet your needs!
